Wonderful hotel

Shame about the hidden step
Fantastic location overlooking the old harbour right in the heart of the town . Rooms on 1st floor front have access to a terrace. Bedrooms decent size we ended trying 3 different ones. Unfortunately the corridor was carpeted in a dark grey material and going from the lift to the room my wife did not see the step down and ended up on the floor with a broken leg. The staff did do their best providing ice packs and arranged a taxi to the hospital but it meant for last 3 days of holiday time was spent either in the room or en route to the hospital. It was surprising that the edge of the step was not differentated by a coloured edging or metal edge strip. Fantastic stay for my first solo trip
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Piroscafo. Julia and the girls on the desk were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately didn’t catch the other girls names. This was my first solo holiday so was apprehensive but as soon as I arrived at the hotel and saw the location and my room I felt totally fine. Room is small but has everything you need. Pictures of room on the TUI website doesn’t do it justice, I think the room must have been updated since that photo were taken. I had a lovey little balcony too. The room was lovely and clean. The hotel is situated on a lovey harbour, so beautiful. Lots of places to eat and drink within steps of the hotel. The train station is about a 15 min walk. I found it a nice walk and caught a train to Verona and Venice. Again as a solo traveller I felt very safe. A massive thank you to Flávio on the desk on an evening, who was always very happy, friendly and helpful. Also a lovely continental breakfast on a morning again staff were lovely. Fantastic hotel in beautiful location overlooking the harbour
We had a very warm & very friendly welcome from Xhulia & also met Lucia on reception later who was also really friendly and very helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking a small inlet harbour. It has restaurants around the harbour & shops & more restaurants in the town just a short walk from the hotel. It is only a short walk to the lakeside too, with lovely walks along the lakeside & a short pier aswell. Beautiful area! There's a market on a Friday selling all sorts of things - so many stalls & interesting to look around. Its a 10 min walk (all uphill though), from the train station where we caught a train to Venice & Verona on separate days. Plus, there is a main ferry hub in Desenzano. Lovely stay at hotel Piroscafo in Desenzano! Thank you to all the staff there who made our stay so enjoyable! Ps. Ein Hotel zum wohlfühlen
Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr gutes Frühstück für italienische Verhältnisse. Das Hotel sehr sauber und aufgeräumt, zuvorkommendes, fähiges Personal und der See und die Umgebung ja sowieso ein Traum. Gerne wieder, im nächsten Jahr.

Hotel probabilmente nel posto più bello di Desenzano. Chiedere stanza con vista sul porticciolo. La struttura è a conduzione familiare, cortese, attenta e disponibile. L'hotel è standard nella hotellerie ma completo di tutto. Colazione nella norma ma con ampia disponibilità di tavoli anche all'esterno. Nell'insieme un hotel molto romantico, curato, pulito. Parcheggio a 10 euro al giorno in un silo sotterraneo a 5 minuti di bella passeggiata. Si può però arrivare fin davanti l'hotel per scaricare i bagagli. Non manca nulla. Molto entusiasta

Excellent hotel
Excellent location. Staff wonderful, really helpful and kind. Attentive, but not intrusive. They have really got their customer service right. Ate breakfast al fresco most days, which was lovely. Bird song, looking at views and nature in the historic harbour opposite. Breakfast had a good selection, was fresh and tasty. Staff spoke English and there were no issues throughout our stay. The room was very comfortable, clean and well cared for. The shower was good and the mini bar was restocked when needed. The air conditioning was good and effective. Centrally located. Easy access to the Ferry which was inexpensive €20 return for a couple to Sermione which is a beautiful town 20 minutes away. Train station is 15 minutes walk and on the mainline for Verona, Milan and Venice. Centrally located in Desanzano town, very quiet and tranquil despite its location. Emplacement incroyable !
Emplacement incroyable! Chambre au deuxième étage donnant sur le petit port. une image de carte postale Je qualifierai l'établissement de simple ,chambre au charme un peu vintage. mais c'est propre. Parking public (nickel) à 400 m tarif spécifique pour la nuit grace à l'hotel (10€ la nuit) Il faut d'abord passer à l'hotel , on peut se mettre en voiture juste devant sur le petit port (ce qui assez étonnant) le temps de déposer les bagages et de récupérer le ticket pour le parking. © Point négatif (mais qui n'est pas de la faute de l'hôtelier) nous v avions séjourné fin iuin et un vendredi soir donc beaucoup de bruit dans la rue autour de ce petit port! Et les services de voirie qui nettoie la rue à 6h00 du matin!
