Singola Standard

11mq + bagno | max 1 ospite

lovely visit in every respect We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of September, 2025. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The location is perfect! The breakfast was excellent with much to choose from including fresh fruits and baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, etc. The staff asked for your hot drink preference and it was made fresh to accompany the delightful breakfast. The breakfast room looks out on the harbor which is lovely also. We are an older couple from the United States.

Fantastic week stay Great hotel. Friendly polite staff who couldn’t do enough. Breakfast great. Hotel very clean. Room 4 which was on terrace great. The area where hotel is situated is perfect for an abundance of great restaurants, the local bar next door is really popular but not rowdy. Desenzano promenade is flat. The lake ferries are easy to hand. A brilliant holiday my Wife and I had for our Special occasion and would highly recommend. Thanks to all the Staff. P&D Johnson

Lovely well located boutique hotel We stayed at Hotel Piroscafo for 5 nights in early September, our room was at the front with a balcony overlooking the small harbour. The location is perfect for accessing the town, its restaurants and the ferries. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. The self service is breakfast is a cold buffet which i would describe as adequate. The website explains that the rooms to the front are small but they are offset by access to the balconies. The balconies are tiny with only just enough space for two chairs but not a table for your drink, a fold down table would be an advantage. Otherwise everything was perfect

Perfect We stayed here as a family for 7 nights with two separate rooms. It is in an excellent location with beautiful views of the lake and canal. Bus stops and ferry are just around the corner and it’s surrounded by lovely bars and restaurants. The service we received in this hotel from cleaning to breakfast/reception service was nothing short of 5*. Lovely staff, rooms cleaned and towels replaced every day and the reception staff are happy to help with any enquiries! We will definitely return in the future :)

Short break away Hotel Piroscafo is located in the centre of Desensano overlooking the old harbour. Our room was on the third floor, accessed by 2 flights of stairs so not great if you have mobility issues. Once in the room, however it was peaceful and relaxed with no noise from our neighbours. While we didn’t have a view of the harbour, we could see the lake through the break in the buildings. Staff were all very welcoming and pleasant. If you plan to explore then this hotel is ideal as it’s a very short stroll to the ferries and a 5 minute taxi ride to the train station (approx 15 minute walk up hill). So many bars and great restaurants to choose from. We may well come back.

More pros than cons The hotel’s location is SUPERB! It’s in the centre of Desenzano del Garda right on the stunning old harbour close to lots of bars, restaurants - the hotel has neither - and shopping. Steps away from the lake, ferries and pier. Bus stops are in short walking distance but don’t recommend them as very unreliable, slow and dearer than the train. However, the train station is 15 -20 minutes away and it is mostly a very steep uphill walk. Everything is spotlessly clean. We got room 25 at the back on first floor which was big and modern but looks onto a small courtyard so not much natural light at all which was depressing as it was so dark. Luckily we were out most of the day/evening. Room was warm as AC was set at 23!!! and the unit is outside the bathroom, away from main bedroom area where you sit/sleep. Hotel would only agree to lower it to 21. Still too warm and would have been very uncomfortable in the really hot weather (we had lots of rain and temps in low/mid 20s). It’s also on a timer, so the room is warm when you go back. Rooms cleaned daily with regular change of high quality towels and sheets. Waitress service at breakfast is very good, quick and friendly. They bring your tea/coffee. The rest is self service. They didn’t replace the fresh bread when it finished and were very strict about the closing time. Great shower but terrible hairdryer. I don’t have long hair but it took me ages to dry it. As our room was sooooo dark, we loved going to the communal outside terrace but they close it at 8pm on the dot! When I asked the man why so early, he said it was so no one disturbed the (lucky) guests out on their balconies. Erm, we’re a couple in our early 60s and hardly likely to be rowdy. In fact, the lady on her balcony above us disturbed US by talking very loudly on her phone! The Inside Terrace closes at 10pm on the dot and is very warm. The AC unit was switched off and no sign of the remote control. Other reviews say the lift doesn’t go higher than floor 1 but that’s not true! We recommend this hotel but ask/pay for a harbour view with a balcony.

Located in a brilliant setting, and a good base for exploring! Just returned from my visit to Italy and stayed at this hotel. Would definitely recommend! All the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room itself was lovely and clean, fresh towels and bedding every day. We were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony overlooking the harbour. The view was beautiful! We didn’t have a car and found it a brilliant base for exploring by ferry or train.

Charming location A really good location and service. Viewing the activity in the small marina from the balcony was a real plus. Only 2 minutes walk from ferry launch to see the rest of the Lake Garda sights, and right on top of a great selection of lively, good quality restaurants. Lovely breakfast included and great service from all staff. A shame there is no hotel bar as such, but there are plenty close by to use. Rooms are a bit dated and could use an upgrade (hairdryer for wife in particular).
